R 1200 GS / R 1200 GS Seat height

Hi,
my first post here, and I am sure it wont be the last ...... :eek3:

I am returning to motorcycling after around 14 years absence,,,, far too long.
I sat on a R 1200 GS and found it fine with the lower seat hight,
I then tried the Adventure, it is a little higher, even with the lower seat I can
still only get one foot comfortably on the floor. My question is - Does the
Touratech Driver seat X-Low (-4 cm)
HTML Code:

lower the seating position even further.
Any other ideas for getting a lower seat on the Adventure are very welcome.

Thanks
Mike

bmw seat height

I have a 2008 BMW adventure and I think they make 3 different seats. I sat on the standard and it was to high. I tried the middle and it was much better but then tried the low one. It felt fine as far as putting the legs on the ground but in riding it sucks. They cut the padding out of the front and so it leans forward and you tend to roll forward on your equipment and it hurts....................I would get your legs lengthened..........

Thanks Larry,
I have tried two seats on the Adventure & standard GS, I were not aware there was a third...
When I last rode am MC I found keeping my feet on the pegs at traffic lights fairly easy, just not sure if having one foot on the ground is enough on a bike of this weight, espescially if it s fully loaded and has a pillion, not even to mention if I need to dab a foot on rough ground........

The answer is yes, the Tourtech/ Kahedo low seat is lower again . I also tried the Wnderlich seat and found the TT/K seat to be thelowest and most comfortable.

It has changed my 1200 GSA from a challange to a dream ride.
