Nth America Maps for BMW NavII reqd

Does anyone have a CD of the Garmin City Navigator North America NT suitable for a BMW Motorrad Navigator II?

I purchased the latest CN for Nth America but it wasn't till the last minute that I tried to download the maps to my device, to discover that it would not accept them!
So now my options are to buy a completely new Garmin (or GPS) device just so that I can put my latest maps on it; OR find an old map somewhere.

Is there a known download site for this old style map?

I am currently in New York state and about to head south for the HU meeting in North Carolina. If anyone is on the approximate route with a CD I will happily divert to pick it up.

Message me privately for a phone number.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

don't know how you went but I downloaded CN north America for my Zumo 550 and didn't read the fine print so I can't download the maps to my computer so pre planning for me just ride with it set on 'No Highways, No Interstates and No Tolls' been to some interesting places doing that :)

I was able to find some NA version 2008 maps online and downloaded all 1.1GB of it via a torrent feed over several days. And whilst doing that I also bought a Garmin NA map set for 2008 from eBay - but having got both I was not able use either in the end. My NavII unit just wouldn't accept the maps even though they appeared to be in the right format.

At the HU meeting I was able to swop my Nav II Euro unit for another one which has NA maps on it. One of the benefits of actually going to the meeting! So I have been travelling with a functioning GPS now, albeit one which refuses to be recognised by my laptop. So I can plan routes using Mapsource or Google on my laptop but have to program the route manually on the unit itself.

The loaded maps are from 2005 so I cannot rely on the calculated routes entirely and I often am directed to go right or left when the desired route is plainly straight ahead. So my paper maps are still necessary.

Managing ok so far. Not ideal but I've got myself from the east coast to almost the west, that's the main thing.
