Import mods for Dakar (Euro model) to USA
I'm nervous...
All the import questions aside, like shipping, clearing, etc...I'm wondering if anyone knows what will be required of me to make my European model F650 compliant with the many, varied, and unusual US regulations. Thanks, Hunter

Hunter,
The problem you face is that every state in the U.S. has different rules for registering a bike. I have been told by two reliable sources that California (my state) will not register any Euro bike that is older than 5 years. Newer ones have a chance. Other states such as Nevada and Oregon have much looser requirements. Also know that once any state has registered a bike, it makes it much easier for the bike to be registered in any other state. (i.e. registered in Nevada, then registered in California). Hope this helps and good luck, Kevin
