Help required from Costa Rica, Please

Hi

I was hoping someone would be able to advise with a small problem.
I’m sitting just over the boarder on the Costa Rica side with Panama with a R1150GS 2001 model. The clutch has lost all hydraulic pressure, which in turn means no gear changing. The lever felt a little soft about a week ago so tightened the little screw on the handle bar mount. It seemed to work ok so continued. Today I was just about to leave and the whole thing pulled back to the grip with no pressure. There is a smell of something nasty coming from the vicinity of the engine and figure it is connected to my problem. Unfortunately I’m stuck unless anyone has an idea. I’m handy but would need someone with a sense of humour. I can call on the phone from here if any want’s to help me.

Thanks in advance.

Gareth

I'm in North Costa Rica, sorry. I think your best bet is to find somebody with a pick-up truck and offer them $200 to take you and your bike to San Jose.

Hopefully the bad slave cylinder didn't soak your clutch with fluid.
