Wich bike has the lower center of gravity when fully fueled?

If I recall correctly(IIRC), the 800 has the fuel tank under the seat, therefore will have a lower centre of gravity (COG)?

yes indeed, but the 1200 has the engine lower than his little sister. I think this is a tricky question..............

The main mass of an engine is in and around the crank ... The crank on an 800 GS engine is at the bottom of the engine, just above the sump and bashplate. The crank on a boxer is in the middle of the engine ... a fair way above the bashplate due to the very deep sump on a boxer.

I would have thought the crank, and therefore the mass on the 800 engine would be lower down.

Edit: just measured one in the workshop. The crank on a 1200 is a full 300 mm above the base of the bashplate.
