fuel tanks
Hope you guys can help. Am toying with the idea of GSing an older 90/6. She was a swap too good to miss!
Checked out this and ADVrider forums for susp. mods. Question is if I put a different brake master on, will a early eighties R65 tank fit without too much pain? Am changing all bodywork as well. Thanks, Neil |

Rather check to see if you can find a R80ST as this have the same frame as the GS, the road bikes have a different frame and the way the shocks mount on the sub frame instead of directly to the main frame will always be to weak for serious corrugations and potholes.

Thanks GS, had a real good look at what I've got and the old lady is in pretty good shape, shame to molest her. Will probably reconsider.

I am glad you are having second thoughts, the 90/6 is reasonably well sought after model, probably sell for more in as original condition.

I agree with oldbmw. This model is seen as somewhat of a classic and worthwhile restoring in original condition.

Well that settles it. Nice tidy up, run for summer then see.
Thanks for replies, Neil |
