front wheel
Hi!
I have an F650 st. Due to poor tire choice I would like to fit a 21 front wheel. The cheapest way of doing this is fitting a used rim from a XT600 (very popular in portugal). Is it possible? Both have 36 spokes. Thanks, Renato |

I am not sure about that particular conversion, but if you can get a good wheel person to build it for you, I see know reason why it wouldn't work. HOWEVER: Make absolutely sure that your fork has enough clearence for the higher wheel first. Fully compress your fork, even pull the springs, and measure to see if you will have the clearance. The larger wheel will also change your steering somewhat.
You might want to access the chain gang website for more info: www.f650.com What about a 21" wheel off the 650 Dakar? If you can find a buyer for your wheel this might work fine. |
