We are doing the trip from Oz to Uk in January on F650GS and F650GS Dakar. Both bikes have had their injecters changed and been reprogrammed to run on normal unleaded petrol (not premium) by BMW. Whether it will run on the lower quality fuel, well, only time will tell. I am considering taking octane booster with me?? I am also changing the OEM exhausts as I'm not sure the catalytic converter will survive the trip.
