F650GS Intrument Panel not working

Help, replaced new battery and now the speedo tach and clock are not working. Checked fuses and they are ok. Checked battery connections also OK . Bike starts all warning lights come on when starting. Cooling fan still works when engine temp is high, fuel warning light does not come on when low on fuel..... To back track from instrument panel ....... Any suggestions.

:confused1: Thanks

Did find the problem, some oxidization to the wiring and little rust. Power now restored no need to use GPS unit as a speedometer.....

Repair

Hello Romi,

Say I am not sure which wires they were as I ended up taking the bike to a dealer and that was what they had told me the problem was as they did the repair. Sorry for the late reply as it has been along time checking in on the log. Have you gotten the problem fixed? Happy riding.. The stuck in the winter Canadian..... 4 more months till riding starts.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
