A product called "Blue Job" out of the U.S. seems to work pretty good on discoloration ... maybe it will work on stains in general.

cure for exhaust discoloration?

especially the right handside one of the exhaust cans tends to be discolored; get browny-yellowish by time. this (the right one of them) is the real working one, isn't it? I tried some solvents too, that would make no harm (!) to the metal, but nothing improved a bit. WD40 won't work, for instance. by the way, is there any relevance this change of color and the life span of the catalyser?

Not a stain

This is not a stain. It is the natural colour that occures with heating. You can polish it out .. but the colour will return if you use the bike. So if you want to spend your time polishing rather than riding ..
