F650GS and Metal Panniers
Curious as to if anyone here has had problems with metal panniers absorbing a lot of radiant heat from the exhausts on the F650s? I'm torn between metal panniers and the Caribous, but concerned as this might be an issue. Thoughts/opinions?

Your concern would be for most bikes. No, the pannier racks are built to allow for the necessary space between exhaust and box. Never had any probs with my R80GS and alu panniers.
