F650 st vs funduro

Hi!!

I am thinking of buying an F650. I prefer the funduro, mostly because of its larger front wheel, but I found a great ‘97 F650 st. Can anyone tell me what are the main differences. Are there any diferences in the suspension??

Thanx,

renato

Of course, your dealer should be able to tell you for sure, but here's what I believe..

1) ST front wheel is 18" rim; Funduro is 19"
2) The shock is shorter on the ST
3) Not sure if side/center stands are the same..
4) ST does not come with a stock windshield
5) Speedo/Tach are different color
6) Plastic "cover" connecting tank, front fairing, and frame is Silver on the ST, and black on the fairing.

Good luck and enjoy. Don't forget to check out the Chain Gang -- website for F650s: www.f650.com

I've just ridden an ST as a loan bike after my R100GS broke down. I had an F650FL for a couple of years as well.

Riding it on a country road reminded me of how soft the suspension is compared to the R100GS. Horrible! Perhaps some thicker grade fork oil would help?
