F650 Fork oil
I am prepairing the bike for a one month to trip to Morocco in April-May, can anyone tell me if I need to use heavy duty fork oil to help with the rough terrain, and also what grade of engine oil would be most suitable.

no, you only need heavy duty fork oil in very rough terrain on a very heavy loaded bike. With respect to the engine oil: in a very hot climate you better use a thicker oil (20w50). This oil is now recommended by BMW as the regular oil (in 2001 they still didn't recommend this oil). However in may it will be not too hot and so you can use 10w40 too. In case of doubt contact your dealer. Have a good trip!
