F650 bigger fuel tank thoughts
So Touratech with their fiddly side tanks is currently the only option for a post 2000 F.
If occurs to me that everybody has missed a trick. The stock tank really curves inwards in the middle section where those go-faster stripes are. Why is it not possible to make a tank that simply sticks out a little way at the sides instead. It may not massivelt increas the capacity, but I'll bet an extra 5 litres or so would be possible. And it wouldn't even intefere with the riders legs, although it might be a problem for a pillion passenger - but that is a rare issue I would say for an overlander. Anyone care to design one? ------------------ Richb http://www.postmaster.co.uk/~richardbeaumont/60684/ |
