TT IMO100R300 on 98' R1100GS

IMO developed a fault on the way out with the remote which seemed to cycle through all the displays without being asked.

Next, I lost the wheel magnet due to an over zealous Iranian jet wash operator. About this time, the display started flashing in the 1st screen. I fitted another magnet which gives correct readings but the display still flashes sometimes and also the speed reading is funny - the left hand digit disappears and the right hand digit stays at "0'.

Since sitched out all remote functions but display still flashes - annoyingly.

Been on TT forums but no joy.

I've reset it and turned off all remote functions but problem persists.

Any ideas?

Probably wet - moisture and dirt is shorting the button - thus the unit thinks you have the button pressed.

Try to open the unit up as much as possible and blow warm (dry) air through it. If you find dirty water in it - wash the water out using clean water - you want to remove as much dirt as possible. If you can get some spray contact cleaner (NOT WD40!) and spray that around (and repeat step 1 - warm air).

Thanks Frank - sounds plausible. I'll try it on the remote 1st then the main unit. They've both got a bit wet and muddy recently.
