emergency parts
 

I am Riding overland from India to Turkey as of February. I need a contact to request parts to be flown out if required along the way. Is there a company in England or somewhere else that offers such a service?
I will be riding a F650 PD.

I recommend either www.motorworks.co.uk or www.motobins.co.uk. They're specialist BMW suppliers in the UK and both are reliable, knowledgable and used to sending parts out around the world. They have online catalogues so you can see what they have and how much it costs.
If you need parts in India or Pakistan, make sure they send them out via a courier otherwise you'll be waiting a long time (it took three weeks for a parcel to reach us in Goa through Royal Mail Parcel Force). Be aware that you might face hefty import duty on parts sent to India, Pakistan and Iran and they include the cost of postage in the duty charges, so it can get very expensive. We had two parcels sent out in India and escaped any duty, but others we've met have been charged as much as 100%!
Let's hope you don't need to use them..

Try contacting your respective embassy to see whether they will allow you to have parts sent in diplomatic baggage. That way you pay no duty. Some countries will let you do that if you ask nicely (and it's not too big!).
