BMW1150gs fuel problems
I recently had a problem that had manifested itself after a trip to Morocco. I'm not sure if Moroccan fuel is any more full of crap than ours in the UK but my bike developed a severe lack of power. I checked and changed everything I could and had it plugged into the diagnostic device at BMW, still to no avail.
Eventualy I took it to see a friend in the trade (Ian at Bike Motor Works, 01933663561) who diagnosed the problem. It turned out to be a fuel pressure regulating device that is located inside the airbox! It looks like a disc shaped filter and it contains a brass insert that can become blocked over time. To change the filter/valve the subframe and airbox have to be removed, great design BMW? Now my bike runs great again. ![]() Hope this helps. Smiffy |

Bear in mind that is after the gauze and fuel filter so shouldn't get that much crud down that way.
