BMW windscreen

On my BMW F650GS I have a 650GS/DAKAR windscreen. It looks nice, keeps the wind away from my chest but the windnoise on speeds above 80 km/h is to much.

Will a "spoiler' on top of the windscreen help reducing windnoise ? I saw Touratech makes one but maybe there are other brands too.
I wonder if anyone has experience with it.

Has anyone experience with a bigger windscreen on a F650GS ?

Some background information; My length is 1 meter 80 cm and I have the standard seat on the BMW. The handlebar is mounted on Touratech risers to have a better position when standing on the footsteps.

No, the TT spoiler won't reduce wind noises. It only reduces the windpressure. IMHO the only way to reduce the noise is to remove the windscreen or at least shorten it.
The reason for this is that helmets are designed to perform best with straight head-on wind.

I second that. Stand up in your footpegs at 80km/h and see how much quieter it is when your head clears the windscreen. The TT spoiler reduces the pressure but adds turbulence and thus noise.

I had the exact same issue on the 2001 F650GS I bought used last April. I tried the Dakar screen, too noisy at speed, then tried adding a laminar lip to it, didn't work, then Givi screen, not much better. Then I got a Cee Bailey screen, fairly tall. Works WONDERFULLY!!! I would highly suggest you call them and talk to them about your height and see which screen they recommend. Made an incredible improvement.

Cheers,

Bill

Thanks. I found their website and will see if that is a solution for me.
