BMW R100GS Exhausts?

Anyone recommend a supplier of replacement exhaust systems in the UK? Not necessarily BMW. Possibly stainless steel.

Keihan should be available from Motobins and are good, or direct from Keihan.

I have the Laser ProDuro, which seems fine. It has a small amount of rust after over 30,000 miles and two winters. It makes a nice noise, a bit like an angry camel, if that's the sort of thing that you like.

can you do away with the collector box on the R100GS and put a pipe which is straight through with a remus silencer or simular?

It's just they don't sound very good and I think a beefier exhaust note may do the trick.

Yes, You can leave out the collector box and go with a simple 'y' into the muffler. I have this setup on my bike, exiting through a supertrapp exhaust (now if you want sound, there's a way to go.....). Just be warned that the collector box is there for a reason, and you may expereince a loss of mid-range or other exhaust related tuning foibles. I am still messing with the jetting on my bike. The sound is good but requires ear plugs for any ride past 15 minutes. Yes, I saved some weight as well.

Thanks for ,er,exhaustive replies.. Will probably go for one of the more conventional solutions thus saving eardrums! Thanks.
