BMW dealers and shops list

Any idea where I can find a BMW dealer and shop list for all of North America? I'm looking for a yellow pages of sorts I can take on a trip and check in case I need to service the bike. Thank you

See http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/zipDea...ator/index.jsp for a state by state listing - (just choose a state only)

That's the only listing I know of online, and certainly should be accurate.

New N.America List with GPS

I've just seen a thread on the BMW site that leads here= http://gmccurdy1.home.att.net/Dealers/Dealers.html

and you can download info to feed into your gps. It is also supposed to be more up to date than the BMW site, as it is run by enthusiasts and not a slow corporation.

GPS listing works

I downloaded the list to my Quest 2 back in the Spring and had an "opportunity" to use it when riding my Dad's R100RT to Minneapolis. The only real problem is that the information doesn't include a phone number. So I ended up using the GPS to find the approximate location (town and street) and then the phone directory to guess which dealer that would be. Only then could I call and see if they had a rear tire for a 22 year old motorcycle!

Also, my Spring download did not indicate that the dealer in Missoula, Montana had moved. At least the friendly people at the furniture store that the GPS guided us to told us where the dealership was now located. I don't know if the latest release has corrected that but it would probably pay to update your download before leaving on a bigger trip.

The link referenced in Grant's post no longer works and I haven't searched to find it...

The latest download includes Microsoft Word files so you can print them out or convert them to your own format. Here is the first listing, and you can see it does contain phone numbers, so a big improvement there.

Also the link that Grant posted does not go direct to the page you want, I think it's on a tab at the top or something, but this was the beef from the BMW website, it's well out of date unlike the private one. Apparently Harley Davidson have a complete zip file for their dealers, but BMW are lagging behind the times. :( I sometimes get the feeling that BMW have a superior attitude that puts up a barrier between them and their riding public. Anyone reading this with any influence in BMW should give someone in the marketing department a kick up the jacksy. Times they are a-changing, and as Adventure Motorcycling becomes more popular, you can bet other marques will look for an edge.
