BMW 1150GS Handlebars

Can any one suggest an alternate style handle bar configuration for the 2001 1150GS? I am trying to find a more tapered design to replace the straight "off road" stock bars. Most of my riding is done "on road", on longer trips my shoulder and neck muscles become tense which causes headaches and fatigue problems.
Any information from other riders who may have experienced this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I really like the bars on my 2001 R1150GS although its obviously a deeply personal thing.

Have you tried rotating them a little in the clamps to move them back and forward, up and down? Also, perhaps consider that in conjunction with a riser kit to lift them an inch.

If you really want new bars then Zembruski motorcycles in Wales have (or at least used to have) a good selection of Renthal options. Tel: 01597 851 811. Be careful though because the switchgear is rubber-mounted to reduce vibration and you may not be able to do that with another make of bars.

Alternatively why not consider the standard bars from a R1150RT or similar?
