Michelin TKC 80 average mileage on/offroad?

Has anyone had experiences how much mileage capable those tires are on fully loaded R1100GS?

So i mean Continental TKC 80!

Misleaded by Michelin Destert a bit...

And i have the same question for Michelin Desert tires as well.

Around 15.000 km of calm riding fully loaded, but hardly depends on way of riding. I am using Michelin T63, great tyres, but last up to 10.000 km, especialy front.

I wonder if the TKC 80's you Europeans get are different than ours in the States. I bought a pair to got to the HU Mexico travellers meeting on, and did about 2,800 mi (~6,000 km) round trip and was lucky to get back home on the rear tire. Mostly highway at 70 mph (~110 km/h), with a couple hundred gravel and dirt miles thrown in. This is solo on a KLR 650.

Hmm... I rather think there isn't any difference - usually all the tyre makers do the same and mostly only model differences for different continents. But sure i think the highway tarmac eats the stiky-tyres faster by factor two at least - maybe that's why it outlast so quickly for you? You drove on relatively high speeds too that sticky tires don't like...

I have tkc's on my pd generaly about 8000 miles (uk)with lots of off road milage, I have just completed a trip uk to middle east on trail wing they done 10,000 miles with a little tread left

So it's about average 15 000 kilometres. Not bad for sticky tyres, rather feels like they're real offroad capable touring tyres.

Will order them in the spiring then (i have no Continental MC tyres dealer in my country )

On a africa twin on average

Rear: 7000-8000 km with 3 mm tread left
Front: 12000 km

The wear really differs on your riding style. Front last much longer on gravel, less braking i presume, lot less on town riding with a lot of braking. Rear tends to disapear quite fast on gravel roads when i do some inspired driving, as do all other knobly tires i have tried. Would last much longer if just touring. Rear du not like high speeds +120km/t for extended periods on tarmac.
