For any long distance travelers who use an airhead, I have loaded up a video on my YouTube channel about how to use a home made emergency shift tool if your pawl spring breaks and you find yourself stuck in the wrong gear.

Could be useful, mine broke in San Luis Obispo high street this year leaving me stuck in second, luckily it was only 8 miles to where I was staying and could arrange a repair.

A lovely bit of creative thinking and applied knowledge.

I regret to my eternal shame my experience with boxers made me think two utterly cynical thoughts: can the tool double as a subframe strengthener and wouldn't it be easier to buy a Honda. Apologies, its a good bit thinking.
