2nd gear now becoming difficult to engage
After 6 1/2 months on the road, my GS1150 gearbox is beginning to worry me a little. It is becoming harder to get into 2nd gear from 1st, I kind of have to keep some upward pressure on the pedal for a couple of seconds till it engages. Sometimes it pops out of 2nd into neutral but not too often. Last time I change the gear oil was about 8k miles ago and I used 80/90w gear oil. Should I just try changing the oil for SAE90 and hope for the best?
Sound like I might have an expensive visit to Mexico City coming up

Make sure the oil you use is GL5 Rated. It will make no difference whether it is SAE90 or SAE 80/90.

The nice people at BMW Mexico City sorted it out. It was just a loose connection from the pedal to the gearbox. Runs sweet as a nut now.
