140/80 vs 150/70 (need help!!!)
folks, i'm in russia, headed for Mongolia...
Can I use a 140/80 knobbly instead of a 150/70 was looking to get a TKC80 150/70.....rear tire... all they have is Heidenau K60 but its a 140/80 Can I put this on my 1200GSA? any help greatly appreciated.... email: Oisin.m.hughes@gmail.com |

Yes you can.
Haidenau K60 140/80 is bit biger than TKC 150/70. Haidenau K60 140/80 profil is 1,2mm higher so your have also more rubber to wear.

A-ok
The GS's are fairlly forgiving regards rear tires. You can go up or down one size without problem. So 140/150 or 160 will ALL actually work pretty well. I'd consider yourself lucky to get a Heidinau. Good tire, should last pretty well. What's it costing you? |
