140/80 vs 150/70 (need help!!!)

folks, i'm in russia, headed for Mongolia...
Can I use a 140/80 knobbly instead of a 150/70

was looking to get a TKC80 150/70.....rear tire...

all they have is Heidenau K60 but its a 140/80
Can I put this on my 1200GSA?

any help greatly appreciated....

Yes you can.
Haidenau K60 140/80 is bit biger than TKC 150/70.
Haidenau K60 140/80 profil is 1,2mm higher so your have also more rubber to wear.

The GS's are fairlly forgiving regards rear tires. You can go up or down one size without problem. So 140/150 or 160 will ALL actually work pretty well.

I'd consider yourself lucky to get a Heidinau. Good tire, should last pretty well.
