12v power outlet on my GSA whats the best location?
Hi folks,
I need to put a 12v power outlet on my 2006 BMW GS Adventure to power my GPS and to provide a socket to charge mobiles etc. I want to place it near the instrument panel/screen and would appreciate any ideas and photos of where you good people have placed yours! Whilst I'm here, is there any auxiliary power leads near the instruments to use or should I take the power from the other auxiliary power socket under the seat? Thanks as always! |

BMW sell a kit that connects to the original socket. Comes complete and has a template for fitting on the LHS up near the front.

If you look under the plastic near the winglets you'll see the reverse side is marked for cutting out with a router.
There's also a dedicated GPS socket near the headstock which your dealer will sell you a plug for.
