Question 1200GS Maintenance Manual

I'm looking for a easy to use manual for my 1200GS to enable me to solve problems that may crop up during my RTW trip starting in Feb 2010. Haynes doesn't seem to have one specialising in the 1200GS...

oh yes they do Ronnie
1- you can buy the hard back book
2- you can buy RepRom on CD which weighs less but requires a CD player or you can copy it onto a hard disk (or a usb stick) and run it without the CD

I've tried copying a RepRom CD to a 2 gb sd card but it failed due to lack of space on the SD card - it shouldn't have I know. What method are you using to transfer the files?

Thanks

I transfer the data to my netbook from my PC over the network.

There I use "Virtual CD" for all things I need to use DVD or CD because my Netbook has no CD Drive.

Works fine as well for the BMW RepROM (5th edition).

regards,

Wolfgang

Re the SD card - the problem was formatting. Once I formatted as FAT32 everything was OK. I use it with a small notebook PC with a solid state drive - so limited space, it does however take SD cards.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
