1150rt -03 - Lumpy - Down On Power????
1150 rt very lumpy at tickover better at 3k revs but not right - general lack of power but will still do 80/90 on motorway! Have checked every thing i can think of, i have even changed the pickup's - still the same. anybody got any ideas!!!?? the bike has done 88k miles

Maybe check the valves...check for intake leaks at throttle bodies...air filter, of course.

Thanks but i have done that! also done the injectors - i think i will have to have it plugged into a diagnostic machine!!!!!!!

Are you getting a good, steady sync for the throttle bodies, or does it move around?
TPS sensor is another thought. Maybe a leak-down or compression check, if she has some big miles on her... ...edit: Check that the throttle advance/choke cable isn't hanging. This can happen inside the distributor box. |

I have today managed to get the bike into my local BMW dealer - At no cost it was discovered to be the Stick coils - they sold me a pair from a bike in the showroom as they had none in stock. "Fantastic" - Problem sorted and back on the road earning money in less than 30 mins. Brill customer service.
