Wife Swapping: Argentina & South Africa

I am flying to Buenos Aires on 28 December 2011 and return to South Africa on 20 January 2012.

I am looking for a bike i can use in Argentina for that period and that person can make use of my wife ( BMW 800GS or BMW F650 GS Dakar ) when visiting South Africa.

Any bike will do.
That saves me a lot of cost and paper work.

Hi Hennie, I am looking to do the exact same thing this year. Please let me know if you managed to organise a swop and how it went. Hanno : hniehaus@omigsa.com

The bike swop would be a nice bonus, but not essential .. :thumbup:

A very nice idea - saves much of time, money and paperwork - when you dont have to ship your bike...

For cars - i dont know, if i would give my car to someone else.. When you calculate a new car, the modding and camping buildup - or look what a new manufactured overlanding car costs here - you dont give them away...

Well im more affraid of other riscs like speed fines etc. In many european countrys the owner of the bike has to pay them not the one riding it...so even one year after swaping the vehicle with someone else there is still a chance to get a 1000 Euro fine from swizerland...

Swop

@Hennie & ktm990capetown,

if you plan on doing Europe I'll be happy to provide you with the right wifes :biggrin:

I'm looking for a swap in South Africa for 2 to 3 weeks, alternatively if someone have a klr650 and is afraid to give it away for nothing but a nick name on the HUBB, we could maybe do it the buy back way :eek2:

@ Toby

I've lent my bike to a HUBBer and do not regret it. By the way, I don't think that you'll ever get a speed fine from Swizerland :rolleyes2: but if you drive there you your bike after a speed ticket, if they see you they'll lock your bike until you pay doh it happened to a friend of mine, he bought a car and kept the plattes, drove to Swizerland and got his car locked for a fine that the previous owner didn't pay :oops2:
