UK or France, Bike Needed for adventure.
 

My girlfriend and I will be coming from the US to London May 17th for a month long trip around western Europe. We plan to do this by motorcycle. We are looking for a bike between 250cc and 650cc. It doesn’t have to be a BMW but a good runner. I thought that I would try and buy a cheap bike when I got into the UK or France but as I can see from some other posts on the subject, it looks like it’s not possible for a non-resident to insure and register a bike, at least in my name.
With that, I thought I would see if there is anyone interested in a bike swap or other arrangement. I’m willing to make some kind of financial arrangement towards the insurance, etc. Also, if you’re ever in the western part of the US, I live in Denver Colorado at the foothills of the Rockies and would be willing to swap my bike in trade.
I appreciate any ideas or suggestions.

If buying a second hand bike ( or new) withthe choice being UK or france, choose UK as better range and less expensive. For long term use, it is cheaper to keep a bike in France.. but more hassle to register.

Sense I'm only going to be going a month and flying back to the US, I will not be able to register a bike in my name. That's why if anyone is interested in a bike swap, it would be ideal.
