Lightbulb R100GS swap on Maui - repost

R100GS on Maui

Looking for responsible, mature rider to exercise the bike while I am out of country. Bike is parked in Kihei, Maui at a residence.

Bike is available for HUBB rider with BMW Airhead experience or Airheads.org rider. Rider must have valid motorbike license and insurance in their home state or country.

Oil, filter, fuel lines changed in July, 2009. Lights working. Older alternator, so short trips not recommended. Batter charger, tools, full manual included in hard bags. :-) Rider must be physically able to move bike from beside boat, and have good overall physical condition.

Currently trying to renew insurance on bike so that new plate stickers can be applied. Getting some resistance from State Farm, working the issue.

This is a private bike. I am not seeking to earn any profit. The bike is not available for rent.

Thumbs up Bike being used in Nov 09

I'm happy to say I have found a rider for the bike in November in 2009. He is helping me take care of some deferred tasks with the bike, at the same time exercising the the bike, running fluids through it, and enjoying a motorbiking holiday.

I plan to be on Maui in the Mar/Apr, so the bike will be busy at that time. Jan 15 - Feb 28 is open right now, for an appropriate rider/traveler.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
