Moving a bike from England to Turkey

Hi

I'm planning on riding around the Middle East starting in late April / Early May and was considering purchasing a bike from the UK rather than shipping mine from Australia. If I did go with this option, would anyone be interested in riding it from England to Turkey so it is there ready for me in April / May?

Hi

Just as a matter of interest ,what sort of bike are you looking at getting ? I might be interested but particularly tall bikes are out for me.

Cheers

Neil

Hi

I'm not into very tall bikes as well, but it will be a dual sport - maybe a BMW 650 gs - there's one that has been factory lowered, or a Honda Dominator. Still looking at present!
Cheers

Anybody who does ride it into Turkey will have the bike entered into their passport and wont be able to leave Turkey without the bike. Better to handover in Greece, Bulgaria or some other European country close to the border.

If you are passing pop in

Great! I'll keep you posted re how things are going. I need to find a bike that will do the things I need it to do - sight unseen - that's always a little hard!!

Re the Trip report - the trip has not started yet, but I'll be blogging when it does

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
