Well, as I have talked about it a couple of time in different posts here, I can now reveal that my adventure motorcycle tour and rental business is a reality.
Its called
MOTOLOMBIA and HQ is at my hostel
Casa Blanca Hostel in Cali, southern Colombia, almost on the equator.
Conditions for MC riding here are optimal, with the Andes mountains splitting into 3 huge mountain ranges and with the year round tropical warm weather.
The amount of great scenic and curvy rides are endless in this part of the world and I'm just now planning several options for arranged tours and solo rentals.
I have a great team made up by good mechanics to make sure maintanaince is always up to date, local riders to help plan routes and guide and I myself am an experienced adventure rider. So far I have traveled in 69 countries of the world. By bike, I've have been all around Europe, through Israel and North Africa. I have toured Australia and Southeast Asia and my latest ride took me from Chile through South- and Central America to USA and then across 15 states from Oregon to Florida.
I also have a crew-cab pick-up as support vehicle when needed, if any non-riders want to join in the fun and to take luggage and tools.
I have the following bikes available now or by the beginning of 2009:
- 2 x 450cc ATV's Japanese build Dinli (only for offroad tours in the mountains nearby Cali).
- 1 x 1000cc Aprilia Capo Nord, Rally Raid with panniers and bags for touring.
- 1 x 650cc Kawazaki KLR with panniers and bags for touring.
- 2 x 200-450cc smaller enduro/dirt style bikes (yet to be decided which).
