Looking for bike for Europe for 3 months starting Oct 2012

Hello, looking to rent or swap for a two up moto tour in Europe for up to 3 months starting sometime in Oct 2012. I have a BMW F800GS with bags. This bike has 125,000 miles on the clock but is in perfect shape. I also have a 2003 BMW 650 with 18,000 and installed lowering links. I live in the Northeastern part of Washington, state...Winthrop, WA. I am very flexible on dates. Thanks,
YellowBMW.

bike rent

Hi
We might be able to help. We have a 650 GS f2003. Are you looking for a special bike ?
We live in Tours (center part of France easily reachable within 1 hour from paris). You say 3 months but have you got a idea of your itinerary and mileage you want to do during that period ? We can also help and provide adress to facilitate insurance.
You can contact us though PM.
We are just back from a trip in Americas (Alaska to Ushuaia) and we also stop in Washington state, a beautiful place (we even had a beautiful weather which apparently seems exceptionnal.
By the way if you need a bas camp to start your trip we also have place to accomodate (from free of course !!)
look foward to hear from you.

Hello Laurent & Carole,
Thank you for your reply. No I am not looking for a special bike the 650 would be great. I don't have a planned itinerary at this point. I did the trip to Ushuaia then went back last November again getting back last March. So based on those trips I think I would probably put somewhere around 16,000K or less on your bike. I have a friend living south of Paris as well so I have a place to start the trip. I will be brining my girlfriend along, we did one of the South American trips together two up. Let me know what PM is? and I will contact you. If it is convenient I would plan on putting myself on your insurance, if not I can buy some myself unless you have a better idea. I will be out of town for the next 5 days and will get back to you when I return. Do you want to return to Washington and use my bike or do you want to rent me your bike? You could fly into Seattle or Spokane and I could meet you and give you a lift to Winthrop to pick up my bike or bikes. Thanks again and let me know if you think this might work for you.

Aloha,
Nick Lucas

I was just wondering if the millage you wrote is correct? I also sent you a private message regarding a bike I have in Lisbon which I would be ready to swap or rent and you could return in Munich.

Will you be travelling two up? and are you aware of the temperatures you'll get in Europe from October to December?

Joe

That thought crossed my mind + sight-seeing Europe in limited hours of daylight may be a serious impediment to a good travel experience.
You can plan to travel in the warmer countries/altitudes but the clocks will still give you more hours of darkness than light.
