I wonder if a couple in the EU has a bike similar to ours and would like to come to the US and ride our bike while (not necessarily simultaneously) we travel to the EU and tour on theirs? We're a mature and experienced couple and ours is a 2007 BMW R1200GSA (20,000 mi currently) with Touratech boxes, Zumo 550 GPS, and many other extras. My wife and I ride 2 up and the Ohlin shocks are set up for a heavy load. Looking for similar bike setup. We will camp and will load the bike accordingly. Late summer or early fall for a few weeks would be nice. We live near Monterey, California on the Big Sur Coast and would like to tour the Alps region and East but are open to anywhere in the EU. We want to do a lot of walking on the trip too.

We can share our BMW GS 1100 with you. We are in France and enjoy to go to visit a little of USA for the 2010 summer.
Our GS is available for august / september 2009, it's equiped with BMW Touring side cases and a BMW top case.
But our question is : your message is from feb 09, and we'd like to know if you still plan to come to visit Alps ?
