what exactly do you want to know?

Buying a bike and obtaining licence plates for it in Germany works very smoothly, in general the licensing shouldn´t take more than a few hours.
Insurance for temporary (export) license plates can be obtained there as well.

There are quite some offices around that will arrange everything for you, for a few euros.

This is helpful. Thanks

So let say I buy a bike and want to ride it for a few months and then sell it again or bring it to Canada. I am a Canadian citizen, no permanent address in germany. Do I need new plates? How much it costs to to transfer the ownership? What are the names of the places that can do it for me?

Any hidden costs related to this?

In that case you can get temporary number plates, it is not more problematic than getting the normal plates. The insurance cannot be a problem neither. Dont worry about it.

Most dealers will help you as well.

Which bike do you want? new? Buying new could be interesting for exporting afterwards, since in that case you don´t have to pay the VAT.
