Smile Pakistan

PAKISTAN
Although the western media wants you to believe this is a very dangerous place loaded by terrorists, go there and make out for yourself. I beleive there's much more dangerous places in the world in terms of criminality for instance. Yes, there are some assaults, but like in the rest of the world these are caused by a small group of people. Just listen to the locals who will be happy to tell you where you can go and where you better shouldn't go. We felt safe everywhere we went and felt very welcome. There's areas where people depend on tourism, so help them by going there, you won't regret.
Pakistan is an yet undiscovered gem with most hospitable and friendly people, and the north is simply magnificent and great for motor riding. A real adventure!

There's some great places to stay:

hi,.well any place apart from a 4 star or a 5 star hotel is cheap (ranging from 500 rs to 1500rs a night ).. in lahore and especially all along the kkh (silk route) till china border i travel all along kkh almost every year on my bike .. its safe trust me its juss the media depicting as if we pakistanis r in a war zone !! i would highly recommend any biker coming to pakistan to go along the kkh ( the karakoram highway ) all the famous n amazing places are along the route like fairy meadows , hunza , deosai {second highest plains of the world after tibet }( abit off track from kkh) , gilgit , naltar .. and i juss got to knw about this site from these two austrian bikers visiting pakistan coming all the way from austria and heading upto nepal, they couldnt go to the northern areas because they were highly misguided when they entered from iran into pakistan !!! i am attaching these recent trip videos i hope u guys like it !! karakoram highway tour 2012

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
