Island of LOMBOK
100 000 Rp for a double room with fan.
SAFE PARKING IN THE LOCKED COMPOUND (ENTRANCE FROM THE REAR OF THE HOTEL).
Island of BALI
The room cost us 150 000 Rp - it was spacious and had a tiled veranda.
PARKING IN THE HOTEL COMPOUND, JUST OUTSIDE THE MOTEL-STYLE ROOM.
Hotel Manik Sari
The garden is just mindblowing, and the bungalows are super nice with front porches, open air bathrooms and some artistic touches. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The price 80 000 Rp (for the bungalow) included breakfast. One of the best value places we’ve stayed in Indonesia!
PARKING IN THE COMPOUND, NEXT TO OWNER’S CAR (BUT NO GATES OR LOCKS)
Island of JAVA
We paid 70 000 Rp for an economy room (fan). The room is simple, but the room price included a hearty breakfast of nasi goreng.
PARKING JUST OUTSIDE THE ROOM WINDOW.
Hotel Tugu Blitar
Ask for a standard room (not listed!) for 100 000 Rp. There is free WiFi, and there are security guards.
PARKING IN THE COMPOUND, JUST OUTSIDE THE MOTEL-LIKE ROOM.
We paid 100 000 Rp for our room. The staff are very helpful with all sorts of information, and free tea/coffee and fuits are available throughout the day, but no breakfast.
PARKING IN THE TINY GARDEN IN FRONT.
Dieng Pass Homestay
We paid 150 000 Rp.
SAFE PARKING IN THE INNER COURTYARD.
We paid 130 000 Rp for a room with bathroom and A/C, and a window!
SAFE PARKING IN THE LOBBY.
Island of SUMATRA
69 000 Rp including breakfast, but do not expect too much.
PARKING RIGHT OUTSIDE THE ROOM, YOU CAN TOUCH YOUR BIKE FROM THE WINDOW IF YOU LIKE.
Quite homely. We paid 100 000 Rp.
PARKING OUTSIDE THE MOTEL-STYLE ROOM.
We paid 90 000 Rp including breakfast for a fan-cooled room. It was spacious and clean.
PARKING IN FRONT OF THE GUESTHOUSE DURING DAY, IN THE LOBBY AT NIGHT.
The room was darkish but clean and spacious, with A/C and TV. We paid 150 000 Rp including breakfast.
SAFE PARKING IN THE LOBBY.
VIP-room for 150 000 Rp. It was large and there was hot water, but pretty dark regardless of two huge windows. PARKING JUST OUTSIDE THE WINDOW.
It must be the place with the friendliest welcome in Indonesia. The rooms are plain but clean with A/C. The huge upstairs rooms (with four beds) cost 180 000 Rp and are pretty noisy because of the traffic. The downstairs smaller rooms (with shared hot water bathroom) are quiet, and cost 115 000 Rp.
THE SAFEST PARKING YOU WILL EVER FIND – IN THE LOCKED GARAGE (YOU GET THE KEY!) WHICH IS IN A LOCKED GARDEN.
The room was really noisy because of the traffic, but otherwise clean and the service was friendly. We paid 100 000 Rp but there were cheaper rooms (with shared bathroom) available. Using the hot shower costs extra.
SAFE PARKING IN THE COMPOUND.
****please note the prices might reflect the LOW season (we travelled end of 2009)****
