Thumbs up Accomodation in Dili, Timor L'Este

we luckily found a super place to stayu in Dili after been hassled at East Timor Backpackers:
fully equipped private apartment in local environment (many pigs, chicken, ducks and cats). the place is someting between a local village, a chaotic truck-workshop and a beautiful plant-nursery.
Ms. Dos Reis Horta, Marscarenhas Vera Cruz (thats the streetname), thats close to the UN-head, 1km from DHL

15USD for as many people as u like.

the family is super welcoming and its perfect for working on bikes as well.

GPS
8.33'45.11" S

Excellent, thanks for posting that. I wish we could have stayed there. Spent far too much money on hotels!

Question

I had a bit of trouble using your strangely formatted coordinates. Is this the correct location?

Sorry, both GE and MapSource barf at the format of the coords you have given. There are two decimal points in there and I can't make sense of it. Can you please give us the coords in decimal format, i.e. S8.3xxx E125.xxxx. Also, N should be E.

Many thanks,
Peter.

TWO decimal points? Where do you get these coords from? MapSource and Google Maps don't understand them.

How about this: -8.56414, 125.57222?

i have the info from google earth!
the last coordinates are pretty good, just drive 100 m more south then its exactly on the corner opposite the shops. on google earth you can see some houses around a courtyard, thats the place.

OK, how about this one:

-8.565151
125.572333

Is the name of the big road Marscarenhas Vera Cruz? I think on my map it's called something else, but then streets mostly seem to have been renamed at least once since the Portuguese left...
