Peru, Lima - Hostals

I spent a couple of weeks at The Inka Lounge Hostel in Miraflores.
Great place and the staff is super friendly.
Garage for two bikes.

inka lounge

Inka Lounge, Ramon Zavala 341, Miraflores, Lima
has just been taken over by new owners Lilly and Grimmy who are amazing ' they both speak english too and are amazing help if you need some tough phonecalls made. Space for bikes without panniers at the side behind locked gate - with panniers straight in the front door. Very relaxed and quiet. Doubles for 20 dollars which is as cheap as you can get in Lima ' single beds from 8 dollars I think.

Inka Lodge just told me they charge $5 USD extra for motorcycle parking. Any other recommendations.

Hotel Las Palmas

Few of us stayed here back in er late 2004 (maybe) - $25 (ish) gets you a smart if bland double room with all the tee vee, phone, bar, restaurant mod cons. Free secure parking in the courtyard.

Hotel Las Palmas, Calle Bellavista 320, Miraflores, Lima. Just off Parc Kennedy, and conveniently close to the well-recommended mechanic at Desert Racing.

Suerte, Dan Walsh

Thumbs up Lima

FYI,

I am now in Lima and had a little trouble finding a bike friendly place.

Flying Dog no longer has room for bike although one of them has a private parking lot next door. Private rooms are expensive.

INka Lodge first told me they would charge 5 usd for parking but when I got there told me there was no charge.

However, INka and Flying are seem very noisy and are really backpacker places, imho.

I eventually found a place called Home Peru at 4501 Arequipa walking distance to Park Kennedy. They have a nice big garage, free internet including wifi and very friendly.
