Cusco Peru.
I heartily recommend Casa Grande hostel, Santa Catalina street(just off the Plaza de Armas). Clean,cheap(less than a fiver a night!) and really friendly people. Bikes are safe in the courtyard and its the place in the Cusco photo in the AMH!

Av Tullumayo Cusco Very cheap including breakfast with eggs, not just coffee and a piece of bread like the rest of South America. Family run and if people got any nicer and friendlier I would have to fly back to NY  . Nice big patio for many bikes.

Hostal Loreto
Hostal Loreto, calle Loreto 115, 15 ft off the plaza de armas. Great local people, $10-$15 per person including great service, internet and a great breakfast.
