Hi Angel,

I'll be in Irkutsk too late July to get a ride with bike and all on the TSE to Moscow. Can you perhaps provide addresses for the repair place and accomodations so we can add and save the places in our GPS's.Tel. contact can also be stored in the GPS but only with an adress! Or maybe you can even give GPS coordinates? That would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers
Noel

Thanks for the info Angel. I have noted the address and your phone number. My estimate is that we will be in Irkutsk last week of July '14 trying to get organized to get on the train to Moskow.

Cheers, and maybe see you then!

Hi Angel,
i travel from Kasachstan to Japan about Russia. I arrive the border from Russia at 01.08.2014 and i have visa for 30 days. After Kazakhstan, I would like to drive from Omsk to Khabarovsk. From there you can either go via Vladivostok by ferry to South Japan.

Or drive from Khabarovsk until after Vanino and from there by ferry to Sakhalin and another ferry to northern Japan.

If you can recommend me accommodation on this route, I would be grateful to you. Also on the quality of the line from Khabarovsk to Vanino. For example, slopes, rivers, gasoline?

May be you can help me for to buy new tires in Russia.

Regards
Hartmut

In Irkutsk

Hi Angel.
I'm in Ulaanbaatar and will be leaving for Russia tomorrow. I hope to get to Ulan Ude. Then on Sunday I will get to Irkutsk.
I'll send you an email as I need a bit of help with some welding and I also need to service my bike.
Thanks very much for your offer of help. We travellers really appreciate it.
Geoff

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
