Texas, Houston - Invitation, Room!

I live near downtown in the historic Houston Heights neighborhood and have an extra room with very secure parking available for overlanders. You can stay at my house for a few days... you just have to watch out for my australian shepherd.

I don't need alot of warning, just a day or so to make sure that I have clean towels.

You can use my garage/tools, plus am connected into a couple of local forums where I can get all sorts of Texas centric information for you. If you're heading south to Mexico/Latin America, I recently rode to Tierra del Fuego and have tons of maps/books/tips to reference.

PM me here or email me at huhouse at gsomething dot com.

to Texas!

Heading South from Houston

Hey Dave,

I'll be in Houston in May before heading south to Brazil from North Carolina. I looked at your links and saw that you are on a trip right now. It would have been really great to connect with you in Houston for the hospitality and knowledge. This is my first trip so I'm a lil' nervous haha. Is there anyone else in Houston that you know that I would be able to link up with? It looks like you're having the time of your life out there so stay safe and take care.

Sincerely,

Bryan Morales

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
