Question San Francisco

Hi,

Can anyone help me and tell me if there is any bike friendly accomodation closer to San Francisco. Found lots of places to stay but nowhere seems to have any provisions for the parking of a motorcycle.

Also if anyone has any idea of a good mechanic in the same area, I am in need of a service for my Honda Africa Twin

Ride safe

Paul

You might try contacting Zeitgeist on Duboce Street in San Francisco. Do a search on the internet and you should find their website. This is a bar popular with urban motorcycle riders which also has cheap accomodation upstairs from the bar. Across the street is Scuderia West, a great motorcycle shop which can also service your bike. I have my Transalp serviced by Mission Motorcycles in Daly City, just outside of San Francisco. Scott in the service department can set you up there. Scuderia may be a bit more expensive than Mission, but it would be convienient if you stayed at Zeitgeist.

If you need any more infomation feel free to email me, however I am on the road myself...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
