I dropped in on these folks unannounced on Easter evening because of impending storms. After two days of riding the nearby Dragon I was also exhausted.
I was received graciously by owners and staff and met with only friendly folks while I was there. They went out of their way to make certain that I was comfortable. The accomodations were nearly new and very clean. It's possible to camp or stay indoors. I went to sleep listening to the creek outside my cabin.
After two days I needed to leave but I can't wait to return. This truly is a biker-friendly place in a beautiful mountain setting and the site of the June H.U. meeting. Check out their web page, IronhorseNC.com.
