Thumbs up Near Munich Airport: Gaestehaus Huber

We just had the pleasure of spending three months at Gaestehaus Huber in Schwaig. When unloading our bikes from the cargo terminal my R100GS fell on my knee and ruptured the patella ligament. An operation and then the recovery time meant we got to spend much more time in Bavaria than originally planned.

The guest house is run by Frau Huber and is about 3 years old (in 2007) but looks brand new. It is absolutely spotless and has kitchenettes in the rooms. Parking is out back. Bus 512 runs from the airport to Erding every 40 minutes and the Schwaig Mitte stop is a 5 minute walk (10 minute hobble with crutches and a knee brace) from the guest house. The S-8 and S-1 run from the airport to Munich and the S-2 runs from Erding to Munich.

Frau Huber gave us an extended stay price which was well below all the big hotel chains near the airport. I think her nightly rates are also quite reasonable.

Herzlich Willkommen

Why not ask then? The link to the gaestehaus is included in post. You'll be able to get current rates (thereby not dating the post) and rates for your particular situation (with breakfast, one night or a week or three months).

We paid 30 euro per night for the extended stay without breakfast. Your mileage may vary.
