I just road right through mexico and found that nine times out of ten I was alowed to just park my bike in the hotel lobbies. Usually right infront of the desk and security guard. About fifteen differant places and just one bungy chord went missing!
Mexicans love bikes.

In San Cristobal de las Casas, Mission Colonial in the old part of town. 200 pesos with parking, very nice place.

In Puerto Arista, Jose's Camping and Cabanas, 80 pesos for one person in a cabana, and he's a great cook. Very good meals and very cold beer. The beach is about two blocks away.

Hidalgo del Parral or just Parral:
Hotel El Fuente (not Restaurant La Fuente)
near Plaza Principal, Calle Herrera or Mercaderes
175 pesos for single room with 2 people, secure parking in gated yard

Durango:

Hotel Ana Isabel

parallel to 20 Noviembre
near Plaza del Armas
180 for 1, 250 for 2, large clean rooms near the Honda Dealer (also on 20 Noviembre). Parking in Lobby, extremely friendly, Receptionist sleeps beside the bikes

Guanajuato: Casa Kloster is difficult: 8 big steps to get into courtyard. and double room is about 300 pesos
better is:

room is about 240 pesos
also in center of town.
watch out its all one way streets in tunnels

Oaxaca: Luz de Luna Hostel, they let u park in the courtyard, really helpful. Ave. Benito Juarez. Dorm 70, camping on roof 40 pesos

Puebla: Hotel Catedral, little strange, clean room, but shared facilities. save parking. rooms start at 120 pesos. Attention, this is a cheap place and feels like it, but its save.

Teohuacan: Hotel Oasis. Rooms with fan cost 130 for 2. safe parking.

San Cristobal: Backpacker Hostel, parking inside the yard. helpful and easy, camping on grass inside is 30 pP, dorms and doubles avail.

Palenque: Camping nahe Ruinen bei Maya Bell ca. 30 pesos per Person

Ueber Chetumal, campground bei Bacalar, naehe Cenote Azul. 50 pesos pP.

Playa del Carmen (if u really need to go there): Hotel corner 30th and 2nd. I think its called 2 hermanos or so. parking behind (in) Hotel. secure, locked at night. room for 2 costs 150 pesos

Chichen Itza: camping inside Hotel Pyramide Inn, Bikes in Lobby. cost 40 pesos per Person

Uxmal, campground 16 km south of ruins, near Santa Elena, english spoken. Cost is 40 to 50 pesos pP.

Good parking in courtyard, have to drive through lobby past 24hr security. Rooms a little dirty but cheap`130 pesos.

San Cristobal: Backpacker Hostel no longer accepts camping. Instead we camped at Pousada Mexico (40 Pesos each) a new HI hostel...very nice. Address Av. Josefa Ortiz De D No. 12. (967) 678 0014
