Treks and Routes in Oz
I came across a great site while researching my upcoming trip to oz. It's actually a 4WD site, but lots of good info for bikers too. Check out the 'Treks' section for detailed info on all major routes, including CSR, Gunbarrel, Simpson, Birdsville, Frazer Island, Gibb River and many more. The site has track difficulty, detailed description, days it takes to travel, current road conditions, current gas prices and much, much more. If you are heading down under, bookmark this site!

The Hemma dessert map pack they advertise on the website is a must have. They are terrific, scale is 1:1,250,000 I think, shows fuel, camping etc. If your thinking of doing desset track, get this pack of 6 maps AUD approx $80(or each map can be purchased individulally) approx AUD $15.
