Track along the Indian-Pacific rail line

Has anyone done/or have information regarding the track that follows the Indian Pacific railway track, I believe it follows from Kalgorlie to one of the sidings along the Nullabor Plain before diverting to the Eyre Highway?

hello mark & lynda,
regarding your question...
have you checked already lonely planet“s "outback australia" book?
imo a great source for outback planing and riding. if i recall right, the route you were asking for is mentioned if not described as well.

I was just down at the newsagent's and noticed the recent Australian magazine - 'Sidetrack' which deals with adventure bike travels, although IMO more heavily biased towards motorcross than adventure bike travelling, anyway I digress, in this current edition it has an article on just the topic in mention. Actually by looking at the article there appears to be a cast of thousands with the logistic support of a Paris - Dakar rally.

Well, I guess it's a start.

Hi,

this is a VERY serious trip, no fuel, food or water for about 1200km.
