Timing SE asia/india

Just wanted to clarify time of year people have travelled through se asia and india. I am hoping to get into malaysia around april and, into india june-ish.

Anyone travelled SE asia in April - June/july - is it crap in terms of wet?

Any advice appreciated.

Actually, June is perfect: just head up into the mountains, impossible during the cool season. Uttaranchal, Kinnaur, Spiti, Ladakh, Zanskar.

Getting there can be hard, depending which way you come. I got stuck in the Terai for a couple of days with an impassable ford and washouts.
